- Rebate assistance — Helping homeowners identify and apply for eligible government rebate programs for their renovation projects.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete.
- Maintain the security of your account by protecting your password and restricting access to your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Contractor Listings
While we take steps to verify contractor credentials, including Red Seal certification status, licensing, and insurance, we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any contractor's work. It is your responsibility to:
- Conduct your own due diligence before hiring any contractor.
- Verify contractor credentials, references, and insurance independently.
- Enter into contracts directly with the contractor for any work to be performed.
- Report any issues with a contractor to us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Red Seal Pro and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any content from our Service without our prior written consent, except as permitted by applicable law.
6. Limitation of Liability
Red Seal Pro is a matching platform that connects homeowners with contractors. We are not a contractor, and we do not perform any construction, renovation, or repair work. As such:
- We are not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from the work performed by any contractor found through our platform.
- We are not responsible for any disputes between homeowners and contractors, though we may assist in mediation at our discretion.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Red Seal Pro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.
7. Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to the courts of British Columbia, Canada.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to the new terms taking effect, either by posting a notice on our website or by sending you an email.
